California Department of Education (CDE)

The department oversees testing and funding, including funds appropriated as a result of passage of the Arts and Music in Schools Funding and Accountability Act in November 2022. It holds local educational agencies accountable for student achievement. California Arts Council (CAC)

Strengthening arts, culture, and creative expression as the tools to cultivate a better California for all. We administer the state’s largest free web database of arts jobs and artist opportunities. Small School Districts’ Association (CSSDA)

California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE)

The California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1976 to promote bilingual education and quality educational experiences for all students in California. CABE has chapters, members and affiliates, along with partnerships with other state and national advocacy organizations working to promote equity and student achievement for students with diverse cultural, racial, and linguistic backgrounds. CAEA promotes visual arts education in all educational levels through advocacy, leadership, professional development, and professional recognition. Connections through CAEA build strong visual art advocacy and stronger visual art programs in schools and districts. CDEA provides advocacy and professional development opportunities in diverse educational areas throughout California. CDEA promotes knowledge, appreciation, and support of the processes of dance education and promotes excellence in practice, performance, and presentation of dance. CETA promotes quality, equity, and access to theatre education. CETA’s vision is that every California student will experience the highest standards of theatre arts education taught by credentialed theatre arts educators as an essential component of a well-rounded education.
